4 More VIP tickets sold today

We've already sold 10 VIP tickets to the beer festival. Just 2 general admission, but that is to be expected at this point.

Went to Whole Foods today in Charleston and picked up some beers to sample. This is my new favorite job.

I picked up Sam Smith Nut Brown Ale, RJ Rockers Bald Eagle Brown (great name for a beer), Bear Republic #5 India Pale Ale and Great Divide's Yeti Imperial Stout.

Trying the Sam Smith as I type and its very smooth. Good beer. Not too heavy. I definitely recommend it.

More beers added

We have finally met with all of beer distributors and have a great cross section of beers from across the United States and the world. Right now we are at about 75 beers. We will probably end up somewhere between 60 and 70. The website is updated with our current list of beers. The most exotic is a beer called Xingu. Its supposed to be very good.

Soon we will have a description of each beer on our website for you to review.

I've now taken to going out and sampling all kinds of different beers to make sure I'm not missing a beer we should have. Unfortunately, I can't get the beers in samples.

I hope to have the info for the Brewer's Dinner by the end of the week. I'm just waiting on some pricing information.

We are also getting a lot of interest from brewer's to attend the Beer Fest. I'd feel fortunate if we could get 10-15 brewers. Actually, I'd be happy to have one brewer.

Lots of Interest in Beer Fest

The interest, to date, in the Beer Fest has been tremendous.

Currently, I have about 62 beers selected and they are under the beer link of www.myrtlebeachbeerfest.com

We are trying to finalize the info for the Brewmaster's Dinner on March 27th. It will be limited to 100 people and will be a 5 course tasting dinner with Liberty beers. We will be inviting all of the brewmaster's that will be in town and giving people the opportunity to meet and ask questions of these beer experts.

We are also looking at having some tasting demos at the Beer Fest. So much to figure out in so little time.

We are applying for the beer permit tomorrow and will also be submitting our festival application to the city.

That's all for now. Going to Liberty Taproom at 5 p.m. Have to get in proper beer tasting condition.

Welcome to the Myrtle Beach Beer Fest

We are looking forward to putting on the Inaugural Myrtle Beach Beer Fest on March 28th.

Im sure we will make some mistakes, but we are going to do our best to put on the best event possible.

We have picked approximately 60 beers for the beer fest and are working to get as many brewmasters as possible.

We also sold our first Beer Fest ticket today and hope that is the first of many, many more.

If anyone has any suggestions or beers they would like to see, let us know.
